LambdaConf Programming Conference "Disinvites" Speaker for Being Pro-White

It happened again. Curtis Yarvin, known by his nom-de-plum “Mencius Moldbug,” was disinvited from a computer conference for his “Neo-Reactionary” writings.
The organizers of LambdaConf, now in its third year, describe it as “one of the largest, most diverse gatherings of functional programmers in the world”. This year, it selected Curtis Yarvin as a speaker – a man known as a founder and advocate of an ideological movement that promotes racist bigotry, and as an apologist for slavery.
Yarvin’s selection as a speaker says to marginalized people that their humanity is considered merely another matter for debate. LambdaConf cannot live up to its goal of being a “friendly community of like-minded souls” when it does not protect current and potential members of that community who are vulnerable to those who would deny their humanity.
We believe that functional programming should warmly welcome those who have been systemically excluded from participating in programming communities. We strongly object to LambdaConf’s actions, which are a step backwards as we work together to share functional programming with a wide audience.

There’s no point is arguing about “racist bigotry” or the label “apologist for slavery.” There’s no need to try to unpack what it means exactly to “protect current and potential members of that community who are vulnerable to those who would deny their humanity.” We all know exactly what’s going on. Yarvin is guilty of SpeechCrime and WrongThink, thus must be banned from this conference in order to create a “safe space” for “Social Justice Warriors.” Any company that hires Yarvin or uses his products will be the victim of an online lynch mob, boycotts, and other threats. Anyone defending Yarvin will likely become a target themselves: people will contact their employers and try to have them fired, they will be accused of all sorts of awful things and the truth won’t be a defense. This is how the left-wing mob operates.

Of course, Yarvin wasn’t being invited to this conference to discuss politics or his “Dark Enlightenment neo-reactionary” philosophy. He was invited to discuss his computer programming. It’s impossible to imagine Yarvin had any intention of discussing social issues at all. But it didn’t matter, the social justice warriors would feel “unsafe” because of his political incorrect thoughts he expresses on his own time.


Catholic intellectual E. Michael Jones recounts the fight from a few years back over Indiana’s religious liberty law. When the people of Indiana got uppity and decided to allow Christians to not participate in “same sex marriages,” corporate CEOs from California flew into the state to threaten economic sanctions. Now, Georgia is being threatened by Disney over a similar law. But perhaps nothing is as absurd than what is happening to North Carolina.

North Carolina has passed a law protecting segregated facilities. A return to the Jim Crow era of seperate water fountains for whites and blacks? No, the segregated facilities are men’s and women’s restrooms. Even just a few years ago, no one could have predicted that there would be a nation-wide movement, one supported by a not-insignificant faction of Fortune 500 and celebrity CEOs, to demand men’s access to women’s restrooms, and vice versa. No one could have imagined that having separate restrooms for men and women would become “problematic,” “discriminatory,” and an “impediment to progress.”

But if women can have penises and men can have vaginas, separate restrooms for men and women must be abolished. And the only people who could possibly object are racists, sexists, homophobes, transphobes, Islamophobes, and anti-semite neo-Nazi KKK Donald Trump voters.


Jones calls this “revolution” and notes the three groups of people behind this social activism: Jews, homosexuals, and oligarchs. What do these groups have in common? They are very small minorities, but combined they have outsize access to finance and media. Jones talks about the Black-Jewish alliance of the early part of the 20th century. Jews used groups like the NAACP as proxy warriors to attack their enemies, White Southerners and Northern white Catholic ethnics. But by the 1960s, this alliance was falling apart. Blacks started to notice that the institutions ostensibly working in their interests were actually run by Jews, and by the end of the 1960s, the New Left was showing troubling solidarity with the Palestinians, leading many Jews to stop calling themselves “leftists” and start calling themselves “neo-conservatives.”

At some point, homosexuals became the new proxy warriors, and now “gay rights” is being imposed, not by democracy, but by judicial fiat and economic sanctions.
Bernie Sander’s fans never tire of signaling as “anti-corporate” and “against the 1%” but always fail to realize that most of their social ideals are championed by the corporate elite. Every corporation in the USA is officially anti-racist, anti-sexist, and pro-homosexual. Progressive Democrats like Elizabeth Warren and libertarian Republicans like David Koch both support mass immigration of cheap labor. And, as Curtis Yarvin himself has pointed our repeatedly, neither of these groups is particularly concerned with democracy and the will of the majority. Progressives could never get gay marriage passed via the ballot, so judges simply declared it “unconstitutional” to not have gay marriage. To ask where in the Constitution does it say anything about “same sex marriage” is simply to prove yourself to be an unenlightened rube expressing raw hatred.

You can tell who and what is behind these things by simply finding out the one popular issue among left-wing activists that is actually out-of-bounds: suggesting that the Palestinians should not be genocided and be allowed to have their own nation. The Zionists use the same tactics as the Social Justice Warriors, attempting to ruin and impoverish any leftist that dares to speak out for Palestinian rights via putting pressure on their current and future employers. Hence, Theycant.com proudly lists the videos they have had banned from youtube, the Facebook pages that have been shutdown, and brags that “millions of voices will never be heard again,” which has some downright sinister implications for the Palestinians. Similarly, CanaryMission.org “publiciz[es] the identities of pro-Palestinian student activists to prevent them from getting jobs after they graduate from college,” because “it is your duty to ensure that today’s radicals are not tomorrow’s employees.

You have to fight fire with fire, so anti-SJW writer VoxDay is giving us SJWlist.com. Social Justice Warriors who have harassed people and attempted to get them fired or prevent them from being hired can now be listed on the site, to “help SJW-converged organizations locate and identify Social Justice Warriors they wish to hire or otherwise support.”

Or, giving HR departments a list of people likely to make complaints about “racism,” “sexism,” “homophobia,” “transphobia,” “Islamophobia,” “anti-semitism,” or not being allowed to use the ladies’ room simply because one has a penis.

It really couldn’t have happened to a nicer group of people.

Today we welcome to our American Dissident Voices microphones the Chairman of the National Alliance, William White Williams. Chairman Williams is an accomplished artist, a craftsman and builder, a Vietnam veteran, a former Captain in the Green Berets, and a long-term partisan of our race. More than anything else, though, I believe that Will Williams is a fighter for our people — a man who understands the tremendous importance, the cosmic stakes, that underlie our struggle — and who is determined to give it everything he’s got no matter what the odds and no matter how tough it gets.

KAS: Welcome, Will, to American Dissident Voices.

WWW: Thank you, Kevin. Glad to be here.

KAS: It was on the 22nd anniversary of American Dissident Voices — in December, 2013 — that you decided to re-launch the National Alliance. What were the events that led you to that decision?

WWW: December 28, 2013, I believe it was, you had your first American Dissident Voices broadcast in years. It was the 22nd anniversary of the first American Dissident Voices broadcast.

KAS: That’s right.

WWW: You produced and hosted that too. So that was a good date. But we had talked about re-launching the Alliance months before, maybe even a year before, when the former chairman decided that the Alliance was no longer going to be a membership organization and they were going to do away with the Membership Handbook that you and I had helped Dr. Pierce write in 1992 —

KAS: I believe the first edition was in 1992.

WWW: So the Alliance had been in steep decline for a decade. I couldn’t see not having a National Alliance. So we decided — you and I, pretty much — that we would start our own National Alliance and would make it a membership organization. We decided we would restore the original Handbook. We started with nothing — nothing but our will to build the Alliance, based on what Dr. Pierce had taught us.

KAS: And that’s exactly what we did. I think it’s been something like 110 American Dissident Voices programs since then — and it’s been over two years since we began.

WWW: Yes, and not one repeat show; it’s remarkable how you’ve been able to do that — every week you hit the mark — with all you’ve had to put up with.

KAS: Thank you. A primary purpose of the National Alliance is to secure the existence of the White race. Why, in your view, is it necessary that our race survive?

WWW: The answer should be obvious. Our people are worth preserving.

Often I ask people a direct question: Do you think the White race is worth preserving? If they say “no,” or shrug their shoulders or something like that, I move on. I don’t deal with them. But to the ones who say “yes,” I say: So you think the White race is worth preserving. Do you realize we have to fight to preserve it? Most will say yes. But if some aren’t able to understand that, then you move on past them too. Eventually you find the people who agree with us. They’re the ones we build with, to build our movement to preserve our race.

We’re separatists. We want a wholesome environment for our people. And we have to fight for it.

KAS: Not everybody is brainwashed. There are surely people who respond positively.

WWW: Yes, like the people who are listening to this show. Those are the ones we deal with. We also get a lot of negative responses, but our message is really not for the masses. It’s crafted for people who agree with our values.

KAS: What experiences in your life, and what influences in your life, led you to the view that the survival of our race is so important?

WWW: In my early life, I always was around my own people. I think the big jolt that I got was when I went in the Army, and entered basic training. I would say that over half of my basic training company consisted of Negroes from the inner city — mostly around Pittsburgh. It was culture shock. I had to sleep with them and shower with them and listen to them. We all had our hair cut off. We all had to wear the same baggy uniform. We were treated like equals — but we were anything but equal. That was the wake-up call for me.

KAS: So you’re in the Army. And you realize how different the Blacks are. How did that become so important to you — so important that you’d devote a large part of your life to the racial question? I mean, they’re different — but so what?

WWW: At that time, I didn’t devote my life to it. I did my four years in the Army: I matriculated into the infantry and then I went to Infantry OCS. [Officer Candidate School — Ed.] Then I went into the Special Forces — Airborne and all that. There, we just didn’t have many Blacks. So I —

KAS: The Special Forces — that’s an elite corps, correct?

WWW: Yes. Special Operations, they call it now. You’ve got the Seals, and Army Rangers, and Marine Force Recon, and Army Special Forces, and I think the Air Force has an outfit too.

KAS: So that was nearly all White, then.

WWW: It was, yes. They had pretty high standards: intelligence tests, physical endurance tests, swimming tests. The Blacks didn’t do well on that — they were called “rocks.” They sank.

KAS: Oh, because they sank… All right, So you devoted a number of years of your life to your military career. When you got out, what was next?

WWW: College. I was 23 and a freshman in college. Of course, I’d had some serious life experience — including a couple of tours in Southeast Asia. In comparison, college was kind of boring, frankly.

KAS: Were you political at college?

WWW: I questioned what was going on. It was 1970 and the country was in turmoil. We’d just gotten through the 1960s and there was all kinds of campus unrest. There was the anti-war movement, the “civil rights” movement, the homosexual movement, feminism —

KAS: And there’d been a number of riots also.

WWW: Oh, yeah. It was a very liberal campus. And I was a hawk. Almost everyone else was a dove. But I did all right. I made the Dean’s List. It wasn’t very challenging. I was studying architecture and art.

KAS: What field did you go into?

WWW: Building. After being a captain in the Army, I had to start over as an office boy in an architect’s office — sharpening pencils, emptying the trash [laughter], you know… It was quite a step down, but that’s the world. I had to start over and my job skills weren’t much in demand.

I started learning how to draw plans when I was in school. Then I dropped out and went out and did actual building. I think I had seven W-2s my first year, just paying my dues, learning how to do carpentry. But I had the advantage of knowing how to read plans, because I’d worked in an architect’s office. It wasn’t long before I had my own framing crew. I was framing houses and got pretty good at that. Then I sought out some of the best builders in town to go to work with them, to really learn the trades. I worked with one outfit where we built 57 homes in year, my partner and I. Then I moved over to absolutely the best custom builder in town. We used to design houses for him. I was his superintendent. I was paying my dues, working my way up.

Well, the economy got real bad, and I went back to school. It was the Jimmy Carter years. I don’t know if you remember, but — oh, man — the interest rates were like 21 per cent. You couldn’t do any business. So I went back to school. I still had the GI Bill. I studied architecture again. I started projects in school designing my own houses and building my own houses, using students for my labor — and the shop to build my stuff. They didn’t really appreciate it, but I took advantage of it.

When the economy got better again, I went back out. I had my general contractor’s license. I got my real estate broker’s license. You just keep working your way up. I started buying land and developing subdivisions. I started designing houses and building houses.

I was audited for the third time — getting audited just comes with the territory when you’re a contractor — after my house burned down and my ledger burned up. I had this Negress auditor come out — and she thought I had burned down my house to avoid an audit. And boy, the fight was on then.

I really came into the racial movement through the back door — as a tax resister. Because I didn’t burn up my house to avoid an audit. So I dug in my heels. And the fight lasted three years. And I swore, after that, that I’d never work again. They’d never get a nickel out of me. They could put me in prison or whatever they wanted to — I didn’t care.

I was looking around for groups that were fighting the government — because the IRS was so tyrannical. And I found the White Patriot Party. It was headquartered about 30 miles down the road from Raleigh. I had heard their leader on TV and on the radio, and I said [laughter] “Good night, how does this guy get away with talking like that?” I met up with some of those guys. They weren’t really my kind of folks for the most part, but I met some really good people. They banned that group within a year or so, for “paramilitary” activity — some consent decree that the leader signed with Morris Dees of the Southern Poverty Law Center. That was the spring of ’85.

So I decided to become an artist.

KAS: I’ve seen some of your paintings.

WWW: It turned out that I got pretty good at it.

KAS: I’ve seen your portraits of Dr. Pierce, which are both excellent, and I’ve seen your portrait of David Duke too.

WWW: Yes. I specialized in portraits. I’d sit somebody down and paint him from life. I went to a lot of seminars and workshops and painted a lot of pictures. I worked at it constantly for years. It wasn’t a very good living — but it gave me a chance to do pretty much anything I wanted to do with my time. And I spent most of my time working for the cause — and meeting people. From the White Patriot Party I met John and Tom Metzger, Ed Fields, and David Duke. I joined with the Populist Party and met a lot of people regionally instead of just locally. Some would come from all over the country. I met Gary Gallo — I think you might remember him.

KAS: I certainly do.

WWW: He was an Alliance member and he was an exceptional person. He graduated from West Point, then Georgetown Law School. Then he had his own group — the National Democratic Front. He picked up Gordon Ipock and I from the White Patriot Party, and a few others — Ron Doggett I believe. He made us his co-directors, or something like that. I organized rallies. I had one there in Raleigh for Gary’s group. I brought in a lot of people.

Tom Metzger was one I brought in from California. He asked me if I’d ever heard of Ben Klassen. I said I’d never heard of him. He said he was right there in North Carolina. Somebody had given me a book of Klassen’s, and I hadn’t read it. When I went back home I found it and read it. I believe it was his Building a Whiter and Brighter World.

Ben Klassen wrote several books, and founded the Church of the Creator, to promote Creativity — a new religion for White people. I’d never heard of anything like that before. After reading his book, I said to myself “This guy’s really got something here.” And I called up Tom Metzger and got Ben Klassen’s number and called him. Ben invited me up to meet him, and before you know it, he’d offered me a job working with him. That was a real turning point for me.

KAS: What year was that?

WWW: That was January of 1988. I went up there a couple of months later. I could tell it was going to be a difficult tour, because the place had really gone to the dogs.

KAS: Sounds like you have a penchant for taking on difficult jobs, Will.

WWW: It didn’t scare me. I was there to learn. I wanted to learn and pick this man’s brain.

He made me editor of his paper and gave me a title — Hasta Primus
KAS: That’s Latin, right?

WWW: Yes, that’s Latin for “spear catcher,” I believe . . .  yeah, actually it’s “first spear” . . . [laughter]

KAS: [laughter] Okay, there you go. . .

WWW: But I felt like a spear catcher.

KAS: You got me there!

WWW: You need to brush up on your Latin a little more. [laughter]
I worked there for 15 months and we really put the Church back up on top of the heap.

KAS: That was a religion that was not Biblically-based. It was not a revealed religion, correct?

WWW: No, not at all. It was —

KAS: More of a Nature religion, I’d call it.

WWW: It was Nature-based. His first book was Nature’s Eternal Religion. It was pretty much anti-Christian. He was exposing Christianity as totally unsuitable for our people. Creativity was based on common sense, science, Nature, and lessons from history. Mr. Klassen taught me a lot.

“How will we know we’ve won?”

I shrugged. “That’s easy,” I said. “When we get executed for being too leftist.”

Take a step back and look at the world we live in. Just look at the current headlines:
  • A man leaves his wife so he can have a child with his mom.
  • France vows to import more Muslim refugees–as does Iceland.
  • Major businesses are moving out of North Carolina because the state passed a law saying men who crossdress or mutilate their genitals can’t use a ladies’ room.
  • Meanwhile, in Germany, train cars must be segregated by sex because of constant attacks from Muslims.
The Roman Republic was born when the outraged men of the city rose against the last king following his rape of Lucretia. On any given day, each one of us is witness to events that by themselves justify the overthrow of governments or the need for radical social change. (The fact I know who Amy Schumer is, is sufficient reason to unleash Ragnarök.)

But most of us don’t do anything. If we’re really daring, we might post some online critiques, usually under a pen name. A devastatingly small number of us financially support organizations or online media outlets we agree with. But we don’t take to the streets; we don’t hang the traitors from lamposts; we don’t revolt the same way any of our ancestors would.

We’re all culpable, at least in some ways. We all make the choice that today is the day we will not take to the streets, that we’ll bend the knee and police our own dissent. Our job, our physical safety, our families, our reputation (in the eyes of people who hate us) is more important. Unless you’re not paying taxes, living outside the law, or in some form of war against the powers that be, you’ll be objectively helping the System keep going, whatever subversive thoughts you have within your own head. Hence, the radical (even by National Socialist standards) James Mason recommended either total war or dropping out of the System entirely.

There are exceptions. I’ve met a few and been told of far more. Some have faced jail time, some have taken beatings, some have lost jobs or family members. Some of these figures I consider positively heroic and far more courageous than myself. But none could be called politically successful in the sense of building a movement which has actually built power or changed policy. Some have done far more harm than good. Others dropped out, not from the System, but from the Movement after being disillusioned after putting it all on the line and getting nothing in return except criticism. I wouldn’t encourage anyone to follow their path.

But I sympathize. Years ago, at a private gathering of explicit White nationalists, one of the writers I most respect in this movement said he participates not because he expects to win, but because it is what he feels he must do to be true to himself. He drew a parallel to Arjuna in the Bhagavad Gita, who is told he fights because he must, because it his nature and duty, regardless of the outcome.

Heroic and inspiring to be sure. And it’s hard not to relate to it. I despise politics but have devoted my life to it. I participate in the movement because of a primal need to resist, to not give into the demise of my entire race, culture, and civilization.

But politics is the art of the possible and the point of any ideological movement is to build power, change the culture, and hopefully capture (or found) a state.

Politics should not be about personal redemption or spiritual fulfillment. In the end, the point is to actually build the world we want to live in. If the point of activism is just to make yourself feel better or troll the normies for its own sake, it’s really no different from the leftists and their preening on social networking.

So goys, do we mean it? Any of it? Allum Bokhari and Milo Yiannopoulos’s recent article profiling the Alt Right has led to predictable caterwauling from the usual swine. As that is just cheap virtue signaling from NPC’s who don’t have any values or real opinions anyway, we can dismiss it. The real question is about us.

We are told many on the Alt Right aren’t “actually bigots” and, indeed, may be “instinctive libertarians” rather than conservatives. Our main motivation is lulz, not any real political end. And we are told we don’t want to be like those “1488ers,” which isn’t “edifying stuff.” (Speak for yourself).

Bokhari and Yiannopoulos aren’t entirely wrong when they say there are those out there who are “humourless ideologues who have no lives beyond their political crusade, and live for the destruction of the great.” These are the people who are constantly dumping on the efforts of anyone who are trying to get anything going. Few of those involved in the movement haven’t been accused of being a Mossad shill, a fag, a race-mixer, “just in it for the money,” or all of the above. The infighting is continuous and savage. And sadly there are those out there who are involved, at whatever degree, not only because they have nothing else going on but because they are incapable of having anything else going on; such people live for the drama because it makes them feel important.

But who cares? If someone accuses me, Gregory Hood, of being some kind of shill for the merchants, there is no teeth behind it. If anything, I quietly thank them, as it moves the Overton Window, in some small way, to the Right.

And few WN’s are getting anything out of “the movement” in terms that make sense by modern standards. One’s reminded of the outraged Enoch Powell screaming: “Judas was paid; I am making a sacrifice!” when he was accused of being a turncoat. Who profits from involvement in the movement?

Let’s name names. Jared Taylor lost much his business as a result of his work for the cause and has sacrificed untold hundreds of thousands. He gets called a Jewish shill for his trouble. Richard Spencer could easily have been some degenerate Establishment Republican lounging on ski lifts for the rest of his life, living in luxury and maybe even getting elected. Instead, he gets tossed in a Hungarian prison and his own town basically tries to ban him because he dedicates his entire life to securing a future for our people. Peter Brimelow is not only purged from National Review but loses his financial journalism career. Kevin MacDonald has screaming protesters showing up to his classes. Andrew Anglin can barely keep afloat with the constant attacks against his website. Andrew “Weev” Auernheimer has been hounded from his country. Greg Johnson is hounded out of his home by leftist thugs. And there are so many more.

Every single person who has done stuff under their own names has made a sacrifice by participating in the movement. Why the hell would anyone choose this unless they meant it?

The more extreme are sometimes accused of LARPing. Is National Socialism inherently LARPing? Unless one is literally marching around in 1930s uniforms trying to set up a putsch (which even the NSM doesn’t do anymore), I don’t see why.

What makes LARPing “LARPing” is the absence of danger, the suspension of disbelief, the idea that you can always walk away. It’s living your life under the pretense society is organized under the way you would prefer, rather than dealing with the word as it is.

To use the most obvious example, if you give yourself a knightly title and pretend you are in the Teutonic Order, you’re LARPing. But if you’re jousting competitively in Maryland, you’re not LARPing. You’re training, you’re getting concussions, you’re putting it on the line. You’re not a member of some knightly order, but it’s fair to call yourself a tourney fighter. That’s not LARPing. It’s just what you do. And screw anyone who tells you otherwise.

If you throw on a tunic and call yourself Thorolf Skullsplitter even though you’ve never killed anybody and then go to work at the office the next day, yeah, you’re LARPing. But if you are living as a heathen, building organic spirituality that actually has something to say about modern life in Vinland and constantly being hammered by the powers that be for doing it, then that’s just who you are.

If you want to kid yourself that you’re a “Traditionalist Catholic” and that the Church of Francis has anything to do with the Church of Urban II or that putting some Hapsburg in charge is going to save us, yeah, you’re LARPing. But if you’re living as an authentic Catholic, putting your whole life on the altar of sacrifice before what you see as God and His Church, while having no illusions about what the Church is today and what the modern world is, who the hell is anyone else to say you are kidding yourself? I think you are living your belief based on a delusion. But it’s not my call. No martyr of any creed is a LARPer.

The most obvious LARPers in society aren’t white nationalists. They’re the TruConservative or #CruzCrew types sending me pixelated and crappy memes that look like something out of the American Eagle Party, while sending money to Conservative Inc. hacks who laugh at them.

It’s those pretending “the Constitution” means something, that non-Whites are my “fellow Americans,” and that the United States was founded as a “Christian nation,” despite being founded by a bunch of Freemasons.

It’s the useless cowards who have done nothing as their movement leads from failure to failure for decades but now are suddenly ready to fight against Donald Trump because it’s safe and because they have the Beltway Right and the Media Left both on their side. They can bail anytime they want.

In contrast, those who recognize the reality of race, who understand the importance of identity, who see where this is all going, live with the consequences of our beliefs every day. We recognize we aren’t just living at an important time in history, but the most important time in history, when our people will choose to live or die. The more we are willing to sacrifice, the more we are willing to put ourselves out there, the more real this struggle becomes. As all Traditionalists know, Life is most real at the moment of its end, which is why those glorious men of the Spanish Right hurled themselves into battle during the civil war screaming “Vive La Muerte!

Which, of course, brings us to Pepe memes.

Because whatever these high ideals, the Alt Right is undoubtedly characterized by self-awareness and cynical humor. Part of this is simply because the traditional institutions needed for an earnest effort at Restoration simply don’t exist. Who the hell wants to save the Church of Francis, or, even worse, the “conservative movement?” The people who were supposed to safeguard our civilization are helping destroy it. Our elders have betrayed us.

Milo is right when he says part of this is simply rebellion against our elders. But Milo, we’re not just being contrarian–it’s furious despair over the fact that these people who were supposed to safeguard our civilization are handing us a ruin. The wrath, the pain, the black night of the soul—this is all real. I know that feel, bro.

Partially, this is self-protection. One must laugh to keep from crying. Our society is filled with those who self-detonate: the fathers who light themselves on fire because they can’t deal with the family courts; the men who suddenly erupt in violence against their own families after years of passivity; the untold millions self-medicating themselves into oblivion with booze, drugs, porn, and entertainment. This culture is fundamentally sick.

As it almost always is, humor is a shield preventing us from sinking into total despair or sudden violence. In evolutionary terms, our brain is screaming for us to pick up the sword and wade into the enemy. But we know it’s politically counter-productive and won’t do anything. So we retreat into humor, not because we don’t take anything seriously, but because we take it all-too-seriously. If we looked reality in the face, we’d go mad. Who wouldn’t?

Most all, it’s simply a recognition of reality. Of course, there’s an undercurrent of irony when the same people hailing God Emperor Trump and his Jewish daughter are those who demand Jared Taylor “name the Jew.” But really, it’s just a recognition of our position. We are powerless. Even our internal squabbles don’t really matter. Where we have power is in creating a culture of subversion, hollowing out the shibboleths of the modern age. The first generation raised in a culture of hyper-media, self-referential culture, and all-encompassing media could not have manifested our resistance in any other way.

And I find I can only fully trust those who come out of this kind of climate. You can’t renounce that which you never possessed. Some neckbearded virgin telling you not to have premarital sex doesn’t mean anything. Contra Milo, it’s not that we don’t have a problem with multicultural society. It’s that we’ve never known anything else. We actually live in the society generations of leftists worked to build and we know it is garbage. It’s aesthetically ugly, spiritually empty, empirically false, morally meaningless.

I’m not going to start screaming obscenities at a random Black man I encounter. And unless you want to go to jail by starting The Race War the next time you see a White woman dating a Muslim at 7-11, or begin The Purge when two dudes are holding hands in Adams Morgan, you have to deal with it every day. But whatever nice old Black woman or polite Hispanic man you’ve met, you know what multiculturalism leads to.

Exposure doesn’t lead to acceptance; it leads to resistance, even if it doesn’t mean you spend your days attacking or yelling at people. You see the problem. And so it’s those who deepest in the filth who react most strongly against it, the same way the diverse states break for Trump while the whitopias go for Cruz.

How to fight back? Even you’re willing to make a spectacle of yourself, what will it accomplish besides a trip to jail? So most of us take refuge in subversion. Ironically, today, we are the “Culture of Critique.” We are those who hollow up the pillars of the social order. And the contempt I feel for those ironically championing “spreading democracy in the Middle East” or who say “diversity is our strength” must be the same feeling (((leftists))) have when they see a happy White family.

The hard part is determining that which we don’t subject to irony, that which we are willing to hold as sacred. There will be a moment where we have to come forth. There will be a choice where you have to decide what you are willing to fight for and to die for. I have made my choice. Each one of you reading this ultimately has to make that choice for yourself.

I am not a Christian. I don’t know of one traditional institution I think can save us. I have a forthcoming compilation that calls my own country’s existence into question. But for me, the irreducible element is race and the basis of morality is that which furthers the upward development of our people.

In our own lives, we must build tribes, communities, and networks that we can use to support us during this time of occupation. We have to support those people, like Jared Taylor, Richard Spencer, Greg Johnson and others, who are willing to openly advocate for our cause. And we have to build a world, which, in truth, many of us may feel uncomfortable if it ever comes into being.

Because we are all tainted. I don’t consider myself a degenerate (well, not too much). I try to live with fidelity and honor my oaths. I don’t want my children to know of the filth I have to encounter every time I turn on the television even exists. But just by existing in this society and going along with it every day, I have failed. If the Revolution judges me guilty, it’s right.

What is the Alt Right? We all have our own ideas. But what makes the Alt Right the “alternative” isn’t just acknowledging race, the destructive impact of Jews, Traditionalism, or whatever deity you prefer. You can find traditional conservatives willing to agree with you on all of that. What makes the Alt Right “alternative” is that it has nothing to do with preserving or saving the existing system.

It’s about destroying it. It’s about paving the way for something new. It’s about recognizing that all of this is too sick, and evil, and ugly to survive. And that sacrificing everything, even ourselves, is worth it if it means our children can live in a world where their lives will be something more than passively consuming media churned out by people who despise us.

I don’t take the morality of our society seriously. Who could? I don’t take our politics seriously.

But I would sacrifice all for my people. I know all of you reading this will do the same. And eventually, sooner than we expect, we will be called upon to prove it.

Wotan-Widar mit uns, Wotan-Widar in uns, Wotan-Widar ist uns

I have many times discussed the nature of the God Widar on these blogs and pointed out that He is known for 2 chacteristics which are part of the character and mission of this God: He is a God of Vengeance and He is the 'Silent As'. I have demonstrated that silence is a necessary ritualistic aspect of Gods who are connected in some way with vengeance.

I and others have pointed out that He is a God of the Coming Age and indeed He is a God of this Age as we are in a transition between the ages of Pisces and Aquarius. This is in fact a liminal stage. We are heading towards the end and the climax of the Kali Yuga. Folkish Wodenism is not alone in recognising that a world leader, a divine world leader is coming. The Hindus refer to Him as the Kalki Avatar, the moslems as the Imam Mahdi, the christians as the Second Coming of Christ, the Tibetans as the Gessar Khan, the Altai as the White Burkan, the Buddhists as Lord Maitreya, the Zoroastrians as the Saoshyant and the Babylonians as the Third Sargon. He is also referred to in the Eddas and Armanism as Der Starke von Oben.

Before I was introduced to folkish Wodenism via an out of the blue flyer in the early 2000s (a coincidence full of meaning) I was concerned with esoteric christianity and eschatology (the study of the end times) and I looked for and preached the Second Coming of Christ. Now, many years after my spiritual and folkish awakening, which came to its full fruition via the teachings of Woden's Folk, instead of preaching the Second Coming I write about the coming Starker von Oben. In reality this cosmic figure can be called by any and all of these names which demonstrates to me that there are such things as objective not just subjective spiritual truths because this world figure is not confined to just one religion or people: He is a global figure.

It behoves us to study the sacred writings of these other religions and peoples for they contain a certain grain of truth regarding this mysterious end time figure. This is no coincidence for these writings contain dire warnings for the peoples of the Earth. Often founders of religions are prophets and forerunners of an even greater personage. Founders of religions are often persecuted. They are certainly hardly ever acknowledged during their earthly lifetimes and are generally mocked by the unbelieving. Of course Hitler, especially since the collapse of the Third Reich has been reviled and mocked to a degree which in my opinion is unprecedented. Of course one could argue that he was the founder of a religion: National Socialism but he was not just the founder of a religion but the very incarnation of a God. That God is Wotan.

Often these founders of religions are prophets and forerunners of the God or God force which they proclaim. Sometimes the forerunner is a separate personage as John the Baptist was to Jesus Christ:

"And this is the record of John, when the Jews sent priests and Levites from Jerusalem to ask him, Who art thou? And he confessed, and denied not; but confessed, I am not the Christ. And they asked him, What then? Art thou Elias? And he saith, I am not. Art thou that prophet? And he answered, No. Then said they unto him, Who art thou? that we may give an answer to them that sent us. What sayest thou of thyself? He said, I am the voice of one crying in the wilderness, Make straight the way of the Lord, as said the prophet Esaias." (John 1:19-23, King James version)
We must not confuse the forerunner with the One that he prophesizes is to come. However the forerunner can be filled in part with the divine force of the avatar. We are minded of Hitler and how he appeared to be possessed by the avataric force of Wotan. He was not himself Wotan, but Wotan appeared to seize him and spoke and acted through him.
"Perhaps we may sum up this general phenomenon as 'Ergriffenheit' - a state of being seized or possessed. The term postulates not only an 'Ergriffener' (one who is seized) but also an Ergreifer (one who seizes). Wotan is an 'Ergreifer' of men, and, unless one wishes to deify Hitler - which indeed has actually happened - Wotan is really the only explanation." (Wotan, 1936, Jung)

Wotan's apparent 'possession' of Hitler may be explained by the Aryan concept of the avatar. Hitler was not an ordinary man. He was born of a woman in order to fulfill a specific mission in the same sense that according to christians Jesus Christ did. By all appearances he was human, being born of woman but nevertheless his followers believe he was a God-Man incarnated in human flesh to fulfill a specific task. In this sense there is little qualative difference between Adolf Hitler and Jesus Christ with the exception that we know Hitler to be a real historic personage. There is no such proof for the existence of Jesus Christ.  

Recently there has been a concerted attempt by dark forces to undermine the founder of folkish Wodenism by ridiculing him and misrepresenting his teachings. This is to be expected for these same agents of dark forces fear the light. They delight in exposing others but they themselves will hide behind a false identity whilst they libel innocent people purely because they violently disagree with their teachings. This is to be expected. Far from eroding the knowledge that our teachings are based upon light and truth these desparate persecutors actually convince us that we are right!

We look for the avatar: we await Widar made flesh but His spirit is already here. It dwells in the bodies of the Woden initiates. Woden through His son Widar is with us; He is in us and He is us! This is a deep and sacred truth if only we could accept it and act accordingly.

Majority of Muslim Students Think Brussels Terrorists Are "Heroes" Say Teachers

Teachers working in the predominantly Muslim districts of Molenbeek and Schaerbeek in Brussels have reported that “90 percent of their students, 17, 18 years old” called the Islamist terrorists who attacked Paris and Brussels “heroes”.
The revelation came in an article in the New York Times, wherein Steven Erlanger spoke to a Belgian policymaker who relayed the information from Belgium.
The piece, entitled “Blaming Policy, Not Islam, for Belgium’s Radicalised Youth”, interviewed Yves Goldstein, chief of staff for the minister-president of the Brussels Capital Region and a Schaerbeek councilman. Schaerbeek and Molenbeek are now infamous as the areas in which for months Islamists lived, hid, manufactured weapons and made preparations for the Paris and Belgium attacks.
Reflecting that “our cities are facing a huge problem, maybe the largest since World War II,” Goldstein poses the question, “How is it that people who were born here in Brussels, in Paris, can call heroes the people who commit violence and terror?”
Dismissing the idea of Islam having played any role in the Paris attack and the bombing of Brussels airport and a subway station claiming that “religion for them is a pretext” and that they “believe in nothing,” the politician the boldly claims that the problem is a lack of exposure to diversity and modern art:
“We have neighborhoods where people only see the same people, go to school with the same people. What connection do they have with the whole society, what connection do they have with real diversity? It’s the establishment of the ghetto,” he says, “and it’s the thing in our urban development that we have to tackle.”
“These young people will never go to museums until 18 or 20 — they never saw Chagall, they never saw Dalí, they never saw Warhol, they don’t know what it is to dream.”
Erlinger reports that “Jews have left Schaerbeek, and the last two synagogues are being sold. Instead, there is a kind of suffocating, insular, ethnic uniformity” and describes Belgium’s system of integration as “somewhere between the French model, which put new immigrants in suburban ghettos, and the British and American one, which created communities like Chinatown or Little Italy.”
Goldstein is one crazy Jew. It’s hard to know whether to take him seriously. Muslims are scum because they don’t see enough art? WTF??? Maybe he’s trolling us. More likely, he’s crazy.

Really, what the crazy Jew is saying is that it’s whitey’s fault that Muslims bomb and shoot.

I Vow to Thee, My Country

Those who know me will be aware that I am not a Christian in terms of my religious beliefs, although I would claim to be culturally Christian in that I was raised within a nominally Christian family at a time when that religion had a much more prominent a solid position within our society.

The England of my youth was a country steeped in Christian tradition, and in which almost everyone was at least nominally Christian, if not devoutly so.

Every school day began with assembly at which the whole school, masters and pupils alike were led in Christian worship, reciting the Lord’s Prayer and singing a selection of hymns, the tunes and refrains from which have become indelibly imprinted in my memory.

One such tune was composed by Gustav Holst and features in the ‘Jupiter’ movement of his suite, ‘The Planets’. In 1921 Holst wrote a modified version of that original melody, which he renamed ‘Thaxted’ after the village in which he spent much of his life, so that the tune could be combined with a poem by Sir Cecil Spring-Rice to create the patriotic hymn, ‘I Vow to Thee My Country’.

The following is a seemingly amateur and unpolished version of Holst’s tune, but one that I find engaging in its sincerity and one that reminds me of my old school assemblies with the music mistress doing her best on an old upright piano. I hope it is as evocative for you as it is for me.

Sir Cecil Spring-Rice was born into an aristocratic family during the 1800’s, he joined the Foreign Office in 1882 and spent his career travelling the world as a diplomat during the period the British Empire was at its height, and at a time when devotion to one’s country, one’s nation and one’s people were synonymous in peoples’ minds and when the willingness to sacrifice oneself in battle if necessary, in order to further the greatness of one’s nation was the accepted norm.
When I was conducting some research recently, I rediscovered ‘I vow to Thee My Country’ and also discovered something that I was completely unaware of regarding that familiar hymn.

At school, that hymn was always sung in two verses; the first evoking feelings of patriotism and the willingness to sacrifice oneself; and the second directing those feelings towards Christian devotion and the spiritual struggle to establish the kingdom of God, of gentleness and peace, as follows: 

I Vow to Thee My Country:

I vow to thee, my country, all earthly things above, Entire and whole and perfect, the service of my love; The love that asks no question, the love that stands the test, That lays upon the altar the dearest and the best; The love that never falters, the love that pays the price, The love that makes undaunted the final sacrifice.

And there’s another country, I’ve heard of long ago, Most dear to them that love her, most great to them that know; We may not count her armies, we may not see her King; Her fortress is a faithful heart, her pride is suffering; And soul by soul and silently her shining bounds increase, And her ways are ways of gentleness, and all her paths are peace.

What I discovered recently is that the above two verses are in fact the first and third verses of the original hymn and that the second verse is no longer sung because it is regarded as politically incorrect. The second verse reinforces the patriotic feeling aroused by the first verse and both emphatically and unashamedly asserts the warrior tradition that made Britain great.

As I have already stated, I am not a practicing Christian and the third verse of Sir Cecil Spring-Rice’s hymn does not appeal to me. My feeling is that the first two verses of ‘I Vow to Thee My Country’ make a fine patriotic song that is a veritable call to arms and as such I would propose the adoption of the following version of the hymn as an anthem for our movement. Minus the third verse, it has no Christian connotations, and if we interpret the word ‘country’ as was originally intended, as a synonym for ‘nation’ and ‘people’, the song resulting has the potential to stir and be universally accepted by White nationalists of all persuasions.

Weev: Master Tactition, Semi-Tactful Infiltrator, or Tactless Fool?

Andrew Auernhemer a.k.a. “Weev”
Weev has been a figure associated with WN for several years now and at MR since at least 2010.

I had given him something of the benefit of the doubt as being on our side, since he was on friendly terms with MR prior to my coming here. Weev was well liked by Søren Renner, who, among other gestures of affinity, posted this sad video at Majorityrights, showing Weev explaining his side of the story around the time of his prosecution, just before going to jail for the ATT hack.

Only a few remarks about Weev stand out from what Søren told me, otherwise I had only a general feel of Weev’s place with regard to WN, based on the impromptu “briefing” that Søren gave me about him and then from what limited attention I paid to Weev after Søren departed MR.

Weev emerged from jail and posted photos of himself proudly showing-off his swastika emblazoned chest. I was disgusted with him for that and for his cooperation with The Daily Stormer. I was also disgusted with Søren for his appreciation of Angln’s approach at The Daily Stormer and I wanted to flush out what mutual position the three might occupy. I posted this picture here at MR, Weev with giant swastika tattoo on chest - - it did serve to get Søren to respond: Søren struck me as both hypersensitive in his response on the one hand and impervious on the other, given the fact that I was not exactly exposing anything heretofore a secret. If they think that this is such a sound approach then it seems to me that it could be easily defended by such I.Q. powerhouses. In fact, Søren departed MR and ended contact with me, suggesting that I was taking it too seriously (while maybe he was the one who was being too sensitive).

But anyway, coming back to the few remarks that Søren had made about Weev. Søren said that “Weev is a Jew’ but he’s OK.”

I didn’t carry much weight at MR at that time and didn’t feel it my prerogative to throw any around. I’d say that I went into a sort of denial about it, but really, with Weev in particular going to jail, he wasn’t going to be much harm to us no matter what or how he was.

I liked Søren, quirky, cartoon character sort of guy that he is, and excuses for this remark were swimming only semi-consciously in the back of my head. Maybe he didn’t mean to say that Weev is a literal Jew, but this was Søren’s way of saying that Weev s “a bit of an a-hole, but OK” - an a-hole who is on our side, if not our a-hole.
Or maybe Weev is only a little bit Jewish of his genetic background, but is really on our side. Even at the time I tended to be very skeptical that people who were any part Jewish could be on our side; but again, he was going to jail and therefore of no immanent threat.

Maybe he isn’t Jewish at all and Søren is just showing off his I.Q. snobbery; or that he will make an exception for a Jew if he is a Wittgenstein or a Weev inasmuch as their “genius” is useful for our side. I don’t think these types of Jews will act reliably in our interest, but in this situation, Søren’s predilection seemed good natured, funny and fairly harmless. Even though Søren could have some susceptibility to favor I.Q. over racial distinction, the importance of the distinction from Jews was fairly well buffered - it wasn’t going to easily float past me, anyway. GW thought Weev is a Jew, though I’m not sure how he came to that opinion.

At any rate, Søren’s participation at Majorityrights decreased during the time of Weev’s incarceration. I was a bit sour on him for his appreciation of The Daily Stormer angle but he was more than welcome by me to post and otherwise participate. I had been and have been busily trying to build up an alternative platform from the standard right-wing, “Hitler and Jesus are us, Jews are White like us too, and should be included if they want.”  I am serious about this platform not taking on that nonsense. So, when Søren suddenly reappeared with a few gratuitously disagreeable remarks and this silly post, I decided to make a post calling to account those popular WN figures - Duke, Anglin and Weev apparently looking to redeem Hitler.

As he hadn’t in years, Søren came on to Skype to chat with me, saying that I was too backward looking, that I was taking it too seriously and that I shouldn’t have brought Weev into it; then he removed me from his Skype contacts and that was the last I heard from him.

OK, before too long Weev re-emerges in the right-wing after coming out of jail, now with a Swastika on his chest and as a big hero of the The Daily Stormer et al., presumably. I didn’t pay much attention to him at The Daily Stormer since that tent of the alternative right-wing tentosphere is fairly circumscribed, buffered buffoonery. However, I started to catch wind of Weev making the rounds of the tentosphere.

With Weev at a safe distance now and making rounds on common subject matter, it was worth a listen to some of what he might have to say at this point. Since he is from Arkansas and has experienced blacks, it is quite reasonable to believe, in accordance with all indications, that Weev is sincere in his dislike of them - he has some sincere common interest with WN. Hell, if he is acting, he does a good job of it and of articulating grievances with Jews too.

But any man who causes the name of a website called “Gay Ni****s of America” to appear on the front page of the website of US presidential candidate (and US president to be) Barack Obama, cannot be all bad. lolllzzzzllllolllzzzzzz indeed.
  On February 11, 2007, an attack was launched on the website of US presidential candidate (and future US president) Barack Obama, where the group’s name was caused to appear on the website’s front page.
As another one coming to Dana Anthiochus’ leaky border between White and non-White interests, Weev came to talk with Dana on 25 September 2015 about computer technology, his concerned advice on race and state-of-the-art warfare.

I insisted that Kumiko have a listen with me, and render a critique, as these concerns bear upon her expertise. We developed an outline which I will post below. A Weev article has been long on the back-burner, but has become relevant now with Dennis Fetcho’s experience and criticism, if not exposure of Weev.

Though a right-winger himself, Dennis Fetcho has some interesting things to say.
He did a podcast of his own and one with Nick Spero recently to discuss Weev. Fetcho finds Weev’s covering stories risible - Weev being a Christian identitarian concerned with White interests and so on. “Christian Identiy?’, Fetcho says, “before he was a Mormon, he doesn’t know what he is.” But of the fact that that Weev is Jewish and that he was always on “the enemy side” Fetcho is confident. Weev apparently made Fetcho’s life hell, attacking and damaging his websites as he apparently would do any site that was “anti-Semitic.”

Fetcho maintains further, that Weev was not prosecuted by the U.S. Government singularly for hacking A.T.T. as he maintains, but because he was a nuisance who had done the same thing to many people, hacking and trolling them relentlessly as a part of a team that caused many innocent people significant problems.

Now we have Weev’s triumphant return to White Nationalism, with him presenting himself as a cult hero if not integral to their right-wing sites and aspirations. He is treated like a “hero” at The Daily Stormer and other alternative right sites for his recent print station hacking stunt - at least he claims it as his handiwork; Fetcho doesn’t believe that he acted alone to cause the printers at some American universities and some in China to print-out a poster with an anti-Jewish statement, and declaring world wide “White supremacism” with two large swastikas on each side of the text. Fetcho makes the point that this is barely newsworthy. I concur and did not run the story at MR and would not have if not for the implications of Weev’s detrimental involvement with WN.

Weev says, “I chose the swastika image because it is a symbol universally recognizable to all printers.”

What good does it do to create a “problem” of printing out anti-Semitic posters with Swastikas, proclaiming global White supremacism into print stations at the heavily Jewish American universities and in China?

It is perfect public relations - for the ADL.

Universities are not known for their skin head types, nor are book worms likely to be roused to enact global Nazism. The universities are replete rather with empowered Jewish folks, who can proclaim that they have a growing problem with anti-Semitism, need to clamp-down and need more assistance from the State.

This kind of vainglory printing-out in China works against projects like MR’s, to build regional alliance between Asia and Europe.

My reaction from the onset would suffice without any elaborate conspiracy. Our eminently noble cause of White sovereignty is only harmed by association with Nazism and “supremacism.” It will only harm Whites, set us against each other and turn-off normal Whites, needless to say how non-Whites would react.

No White advocates were talking in terms of “White supremacism” until Weev brought it back in his talk with Dana Antiochus.

No concerned White advocates subscribe to White supremacism because it is at odds with the separatism to which we aspire - attempting to dominate others is at odds with separatism. In trying to resurrect this concept of “White supremacism” Weev is attempting to brand us with a term as surely as he has branded himself with a corny tattoo as if to brand and represent us with it. He would libel us by associating our cause with the term that Jewish groups have been trying to smear White advocates with for decades - despite the fact that nobody, except for Weev now, promotes the term.

It does no good to Whites, but it does however, serve the interests of the ADL. It divides Whites, turns off normal Whites to our cause, creates the notion that Jews need more state protection on their side, etc.

Coming back to Dana Antiochus’ 25 Sep 2015 talk: Weev pushed the envelope of violence, declared world wide “White supremacism” the way forward and the intimidating idea that drone warfare would make the normal means of fighting for your people obsolete.

My initial impression that this was just a right-winger giving the right-wingers at Renegade what they want - a new Swastika tattoo, some Jew, Jew, Jew, unanimity with Uncle Adolf and you’re good to go.

With Fetcho’s intervention, however, Auernheimer looks more like a provocateur than the friendly rogue, Weev.

Andrew Auernheimer, a.k.a., “Weev”, the suspicious friend of The Daily Stormer and TRS, just so happens to be their Johnny on the spot when their sites have problems.

Fetcho claims that Weev does have some Jewish background, which we (GW and I, DanielS) have reason to suspect as well.

Fetcho maintains that the US government didn’t go after Weev for the singular hacking of ATT accounts incident as he claimed, but rather because he was hacking and harassing innocent people all over the place, including Fetcho relentlessly.

Fetcho renders plausible arguments against Weev’s “great hack” of the printer stations at several universities, and apparently in China as well. He asks first, whether he really did this this by himself? Then takes the premise to what follows by saying that this is not a newsworthy story on its face value (I agree, and had not run it at MR). It accomplishes little of positive value, but does create a “problem” for the Jewish laden universities that requires them to provide a “solution” of clamping down on hate speech. This is an attendant benefit to our enemies by associating WN with Nazism and “supremacism.”

And that is the large point that I believe Fetcho has got very right - there is a close approximation of Zero White advocates who have been claiming “White supremacism” and yet what Auernheimer has been doing re-vitalizes the Jewish smear line of “White supremacism” along with the Nazi association in order to discredit WN and turn people off.

Moreover, what sincere White Nationalist would hack Chinese printers to announce “global White supremacism” ? Most probably none.

But a Jewish sponsored troll, trying to prevent Chinese and White cooperation just might.

Who is served by associating “White Nationalism” with The Daily Stormer, Nazism and “Supremacism” ?  Jewish groups are served.

Here is the Nick Spero “Circus Maximus” show in which Weev is discussed in the third hour: The first two hours are Lee Rogers, the third hour Dennis Fetcho. Lee Rogers is your standard anti-Jewish right-winger, not much new but no harm if you can ignore his “holohoax” line and his falling on the AH side of the false either/or; moving to hour three, Dennis Fetcho has interesting things to say about Weev.

Again, Fetcho is a right-winger, with those foibles, including the pro-reich, “it was all a holohoax”, 9-11 and all that usual boring right-wing stuff, but the things he is saying about Weev gather sense.

Here is an outline of Kumiko’s initial take on Weev’s discussion - with Antiochus, 25 September 2015 - on computer tech, race and state-of-the-art warfare. Since these topics square with her expertise on all counts and with our concerns on all counts, her opinion is quite relevant. This is just an outlne that I took down as dictation from what we gathered at the time (last September).

Weev on the players and the technological transformation of war: “it will be massively a-symmetric and robotic.”

1. Showing ATT its vulnerabilities was a good turn; but revealing the data to (((Gawker))) was tactless.

2 Don’t talk to the police! Weev should not have talked to the police.

3. “Black hat” is the wrong term to self ascribe, it underscores an unduly negative angle that adversaries would attribute to Weev - he should not cop to that, but rather identify as a “Gray hat.”

4. Should not say German patriots are setting fire to refugee camps or that he wants to kill blacks just because they are black.

5. His idea of robotic and drone war is problematic - it does Not render traditional forces obsolete. In certain circumstances you want troops in there in certain circumstances you don’t.

For another significant point of criticism, there are more ways to counter robot and drone technology than Weev is taking into account.

Kumiko has other assessments and critiques of his politics and computer abilities: where he is mistaken, where he could do better.

6. Very important: you still need popular sentiment on your side. It is not enough, especially not nowadays, to think in terms of warfare being so asymmetrical that just one percent or a small percent can fight and win.

7. His view on Christianity, newly reconsidered as it may be, could be reasonable enough: reminiscent of Bohrmann.

8. He is correct that it should not be a false either/or between universalistic Christianity, Jews and Islam. They are all beyond the pale.

9. His association with Anglin and other right wingers is dubious. NS Germany was leftist at its inspiration, onset and groundswell.

10. Assad never offered nor had any intention of stepping down. Russia made a duplicitous offer to take Assad down in exchange for keeping its port but The US decided to try to take him down themselves. The results were still bad but the motives were different than Weev made it out to be.

Regarding Auernheimer’s assessment of the inexorable link between Isis, Israel, The US - the deal with Iran indicates that business interests and geopolitics can override Israeli interests

11. He overstates the exclusivity of White accomplishment in computer technology.

Why Your Attention Span Sucks

It’s a common refrain that attention spans in general have been decreasing for the last century or so. Whether or not this is specifically true isn’t especially important.

First, let’s define what an attention span is. An attention span is an inclination, a habit, and a tendency. If a person has a short attention span, they start to feel uncomfortable after a short period of concentration on a task.

The notion of a general attention span is probably mistaken: an auto mechanic is probably capable of long periods of intense concentration to determine what’s wrong with an engine, but probably has a short attention span for studying complex insurance law.

If people as a whole are struggling to find time to focus on what matters to them, it probably results more from early conditioning than from other factors. A common thread through John Taylor Gatto’s writing on compulsory education concerns the frequent interruptions that educational institutions subject young children to when they’re switching topics.

Children attend shallow classes lasting for between 30 minutes to an hour or so each day, at which point the bell rings, and then the subject changes. Homework assignments will be shorter or longer, but any student will have to juggle many different topics from entirely different fields of knowledge in order to complete them.

It’s probably not a coincidence that TV programs tend to have a similar length to class periods. All TV producers know that their audience will probably have a shared background of compulsory schooling, so they’ll be accustomed to focused periods of approximately that time.

This differs from what’s actually required from skilled workers or thinking people, who are expected to focus on particular problems with great intensity for hours, days, months, or years at a time.

Because the training complex produces such people mostly by accident rather than design, the working world tends to be filled with people who are constantly scheduling distractions, meetings, and time-wasting presentations laden with graphics in order to create periods of artificial time pressure and deadlines to ensure something resembling work gets completed.

The root of this encouragement of fragmented attention is in the political ideal of equality.

Intellectual equality is impossible to establish. Given a mission to establish equality among students, schools adjust protocol to fudge a result that looks like limited success.

To achieve this, schools train students to be distracted and uncomfortable with the long periods of focus and daydreaming that otherwise arise in many people. This prevents individual students from pulling ahead of the herd unless they fall out of line.

If most of the students graduate with mediocre levels of knowledge and skill, that’s less important than if they are all within the same general range of mediocrity. Excellence in anything requires focused practice — when an athlete shows exceptional talent, schools may break some rules to accommodate their longer and more intensive practice hours.

Encouraging such deliberate practice, focus, and the sorting of the capable from the incapable necessarily undermines equality within the greater body of students. In a democracy which is supposed to encourage universal political participation with equal standing for all, this can only be tolerated to the extent to which it’s absolutely necessary.

Permitting this sort of specialization always causes serious ‘disparate impact’ to emerge: women and men will succeed in different areas, different racial groups pull ahead or behind, and some of the duller or more aggressive types are too useless for any responsibility whatsoever.

Training internally fragmented people creates a more similar populace which is less separated into the disparate specialties from which many of our surnames derive. With some help from scientific management, the baker can be interchangeable with the candlestick maker, and the son of the dentist can be encouraged to pursue his dreams to become a circus juggler. This emphasizes the larger political narrative that all people are interchangeable and that all people can determine their own fates if they have good school attendance and study hard enough.

Social media and schooling

The most successful and profitable social media platform derives from the academic social setting. Facebook emerged as a copy of an inferior Harvard facebook website that made it easy for students to message each other privately and in groups. It’s like a school yearbook that updates itself continuously — even after school ends.

Because compulsory schooling is the one social experience that most modern people hold in common, modern people feel uncomfortable when they’re jarred from that particular social setting. Technology permits people to contain their attention to the cycle of interruption and chatter that they’ve become conditioned to expect from their entire lives.

The interruption is a source of comfort because concentration takes a physical exertion. Preventing concentration maintains a sense of anxious comfort — and a realization that there may be nothing all that important to concentrate on, which can be disquieting in and of itself.

Like many elements of modernism from art to industry, services like Facebook and Twitter break down what the media accomplishes into its base elements: a source of gossipy distraction mixed with artfully crafted advertisements. The constant distractions are more important than the content of those distractions. Once the attention is served, advertisers can then capture some of the value of that attention by appealing to some latent desire or another.

What this tendency makes for is a people less capable of deliberate exertion, who are more aimless in their behavior, who are incapable of profound conversation, who speak in a shorthand of multi-megabyte images rather than in the bits and bytes of speech.

This common acclimation to constant focus switching has made it more challenging to do serious work or to engage in serious conversation about much of anything beyond whatever the current herd obsession happens to be.

When college professors complain that their students would rather check their smartphones than pay attention to the lectures, they’re missing that their students are adapting to the conditioning that their schooling has provided from an early age onward. If you wanted students to be capable of deep focus, you would raise them to develop that focus, rather than constantly distracted by shallow factoids and highly stimulating media.

It’s also difficult to communicate to any such audience, even of educated people, because the common body of knowledge which a speaker could once assume to be present will not be present.

On the individual level, it’s difficult to break the addiction to constant interruption once it’s in place. The benefit of going into withdrawal is an increased ability to perform any of the tasks that you do choose to focus on uninterrupted and undistracted.
